I could do with some, 2 full empty days off (first i can remember since last year) loads of parts for kit in shed and Ive parked my arse on the couch with the 6 week old wee one and introduced her to the joys of test cricket!

I grew up watching england getting humped by every test team in the world. Now that we are number 1 and destroying the former best team I have to make the most of it

Nope, as said, have tons of bits lying around, a massive plan in me head but when I open the garage door I just look round, sigh, then go back to the telly/fridge.... and, I even have a telly in the garage!

Oh, and England (both men and ladies teams) are No1 in the world just now, so every right to feel very proud, unlike said bunch of tossers..

And respect the umpires aswell dont forget that.

I was watching the Arsenal v Newcastle game later on and watching that t**ser Joey Barton falling to the floor as tho he'd been shot after a little slap and causing a big fuss made me rage. He is a talented footballer but a complete nob.

I will gladly admit football is my favourite sport followed by cricket but I am slowly but surely getting more and more angry at how the players act on the football pitch and how they respond to the referee's decisions. They don't seem to care that kids are copying them. At a under 12's game I was at last season there were several occasions of the ref being told to f*** off by the kids and even more sickening their parents.

Hi mate

Any jobs that you need a second pair of hand with Steve? I've got some time off for the next couple of weeks so if there is a particular job that you've been putting off, lets get that sorted and that might get you going again.

Failing that you could always organise my leaving curry for when Andy gets back (and anybody else who fancies it) and I'll see you then.

Cheers

R

Have seen before when in position of loss of motivation, a few people get together and lend a hand for a day so you can see things take a jump forward and then get yourself going again, the assembly of the rolling chassis must be the best part as can see a rapid progress.
This is my thoughts only as been at home all day and achieved nothing and got a track evening booked for Monday! well there is always tomorrow! I have at least put the battery on charge

I was just about to offer Steve a helping hand too, in exchange for a favour back sometime in the future. I am also always up for a beer and a curry, if the invite extends this far?

Why aye fellas, well up for the curry!

Next step is the top A arm joint replacement.... just need to make a press!

So, took some pics to see if that gets me moving.....

Engine and back axle.... chassis to the left for the eagle eyed...

Upper A arm that needs a new ball joint and poly bushes, plus some derusting among the steering box and front axle....

Chassis waiting to be laid out and mated to all of the above....

Would LOVE to see this finished for the coming winter but cannot see it....

Steve

i found i ran low on motivation with the mini a few times, some more recently.

but a friend bought a mini and went down to help him out and i got loads done, really enjoyed working with someone with as much knowledge as me, rather than working with a trained mechanic being told what to do...

+1

Working in a nice clean tidy place make life so much easier, problem is i spend to much time tidying up, rather than doing the jobs that need doing !
