RAF Cottesmore Track Day Sat 29th october

RAF Cottesmore Track Day Saturday 29th October Open Pit Lane on the 3.5 mile circuit

A few of us from WSCC and here are booked in for this already, so thought i would post up on here see if anyone else fancied it? Would be good to get as many sevens as we can.

I did this a few weeks ago in torrential rain and really enjoyed it should be even better in the dry, The track has a good mix of high and low speed corners and a couple of decent straights to cool things down plus loads of run off as you would expect from an airfield circuit.

Run by Javelin trackdays full day open pit lane £119 " LINK "

Cheers Dave.

Yup, I'm booked into this one. After the last one we did in monsoon conditions was such fun, it can only be better if it's dry.

Come on folks.

Had a very good day yesterday. Other than the oil filter trying to unwind it'self at one point!, the car behaved well.

Some pics from the day:

That looked like fun from the outside... wasn't me driving, was my lad Pete. To be honest, the slicks we had on were well worn 2 year olds! They aren't actually that much better than good R888s.

Bloody goood day though.

hi Andy

yep did look fun from the outside, we still need the slicks as our 888 are a bit past it now 7+ track days old so could do with some new ones, I see you also gave that r400 a good run for it's money, also your car did look a lot flayed through the corners than ours, interesting I was thinking of some anti roll bars etc for the car we will see, winter mods will be in the mix now,

Thanks for a good run out,

Sean

Some great pictures Andy, Enjoyed the day.....had more than my share of offs though sure Sean will post up his video of me going of at 80-90 mph in a cloud of tyre smoke lol

Finally got to the source of my chronic oversteer at the end of the day, put my road wheels back on and drove like a different car!

Cheers Dave.

I saw someone spin at the corner just after the control tower, was that you? ..would be doing some knots there!

Should be some vids up in the next few days, sadly no MNR chase footage, as the camera battery had died earlier in the day.

... Paul F, you need a car sorting for next year! do it!

Yup that was me! was passing a fairly quick tintop down the straight and went into the fast right far to hot flat spotted the rear tyres down to the canvas good job they were nearly dead anyway.

Had Chaz in the passenger seat was funny seeing him grabbing the rollbar in a panic, like that was going to make any difference
