Anyone in the midlands..
Want to meet up I'm looking for some advice and a ride in a locost. I'm based in Solihull.

Couldn't let a plea like that go unheard.
I can't offer you a ride in my little baby, but there is a meeting the first wednesday of every month near junction 2 of the M6 (not far from
the showcase cinema complex). Theres nearly always someone there who will give you some advice.
I'll try and post details of the next meeting for you tomorrow.
As for advice - don't bet on horses & think very hard about what you want before you start a locost.

As promised - directions to the midlands meeting place
We meet at the Ansty Arms, just north of Coventry Junction 2 M6. This is a
quiet pub with a large car park. If you know where the Rolls Royce plant is
north of Coventry - its next to that. We meet at 8pm and stay till we've had
enough. When you get to the pub if you want to call me on 07803 988125 I'll
give you directions to find us, we're usually sat near the bar with is off
to the left behind a glass panel when you walk in.
Anyway, directions.
Leave Junction 2 of the M6. If your coming from Birmingham get into the
right hand lane of the slip road or else your forced onto the M69.
At the roundabout Head north and be in the right hand lane (the left
takes you onto the M69),
You will be on the B4065 Hinckley Road towards Nuneaton. map web page,

Once you leave the national speed limit you drive into the 10 house, 1 pub,
no shops village of Ansty. In the middle of the village their is a little
bridge over the canal. The pub on the right is the Rose and Castle.

you will notice a cross roads in the middle of the village ...... never seen
this before and I drive through it every day!
Once you leave the village (another 100 yards after the pub) the road opens
up. Their will be hashed markings on the road for a right turn. You need to
turn here onto the B4029. If you miss the turning you can turn round at
Ansty Hall another 100 yards on your left.
Drive down this new road for approximately 1 mile. Once you drive under a
bridge take the next right (approximately 50 yards). It should be signposted

Half a mile down the road on the right is the first building. This is the
Ansty Arms. I'll be in there.....
Okay so those directions are probably a lot over the top, but I normally
write directions for a woman at work where I always have to give her two
ways to get anywhere cause she always misses turnings......
Simple bloke instructions are,
Junction 2 M6.
North, right hand lane B4045 towards Nuneaton
Through village (Ansty) ,
Turn right with road markings (Ansty Hall on left) ,
Go under bridge and immediate right
pub first building on right.
Yes that's right -- i built it from scratch......

I don't want to spoil things for you, but based on your age in your first post I guess you'd better persuade a parent to bring you if you
want to come along to the pub meet.
