Maxi Ball-joint Gaiters

Hi All,

As I understand it, from January next year , the MOT will include a check on the condition of all ball-joint gaiters.

Thing is both gaiters on my Maxi ball-joints have perished.

Does anyone know if these are available separately? I don't really want to buy complete new joints.

Does anyone know?

Cheers

Martin

Yep,i got some new ones from ebay that fit perfectly. The gaiters I was supplied with my kit fell to bits without any use at all after a few months.

I had the same problem with mine and bought 2 X SLIDE-A-BOOT LARGE UNIVERSAL BALL JOINT TRACK ROD END RUBBER GREASE COVERS | eBay replacements from ebay. They were straight forward to fit. I hope they last longer than the last ones!

Does seem a bit steep, a complete new ball joint is only £10...

Remember it's £7 for 2 of them. How long have those new maxi ball joints been sitting on the shelf waiting for a bit of light to turn the gaiters into dust.
