IVA emissions testing - ONE or ALL tailpipes?

Evening all - especially V8 IVA people...

Does the chap test ONE tailpipe or ALL the tailpipes? (its a linked system/you can blank one tailpipe and it'll run fine) Can you choose/express a preference?

I've 5 bar on two pots of the left bank of my pre-98 Nikasil linered V8, with lots of breathing back into the intake. It'll sort-of fire once hot but doubt the emissions from the left tailpipe are spectacular. It'll get swapped after test, but would prefer not to at the minute as I'm close on axle weights and the supercharged XJ engine weighs a bunch more.

Cheers,

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

Ah!

I guess we'll see how good the cats are. (they do still fire, just don't do much)

That, or pull the injector harness on one bank! (runs quite happily as a 2.0 four-pot)

Have you already submitted application for IVA, declared axle design weights and gross design weight? If not then you need to consider new weights that give you more leeway. Remember they are going to measure and weight your car at IVA and add 150kg for passengers and luggage. This 150 kg then gets divided, depending on axle positions how much is apportioned to each axle and then checked against design weights. Exceeding any of the design weights is a fail.

Application not submitted yet Dusty but I'm stuck with the maximum design weights as supplied by Jaguar - 1030 kg front, 1225 kg rear, 2260 kg total, and no going over these.* It isn't a locost, but you folks know more than most.

http://www.cosic.org.uk/MarkoStuff/xj8/XJ8%20-%20Jan%202012%203/images/img_8451.jpg

4-abreast seating in the rear adds 300 kg:
http://www.cosic.org.uk/MarkoStuff/xj8/XJ8%20-%20Jan%202012%203/images/img_8377.jpg

And the towbar means 76 kg of noseweight to add:
http://www.cosic.org.uk/MarkoStuff/xj8/XJ8%20-%20Jan%202012%203/images/img_8440.jpg

So 526 kg payload on top of the weight added strengthening the bodyshell for removing the roof.

10 litre fuel tank and the 063 MX5 battery are permanent features, right?

*Unless I can find a slightly different model XJ8, like the Daimler Super V8 with 1070 kg front axle plating, and show that it has the same parts - anybody have a Jaguar parts catalogue?
