Cannot decide on what brake pads

Do i go for mintex 1144s or red stuff or green stuff or ferodo. Please help as at about £80.00 a set it could get expensive.
Most of driving is on road but i do a about 8 track days a year. I am running 288mm vented discs with brembo calipers so not shaw what pads would be best.

Ferodo DS2500 worked well on those calipers on my 197.

I don't think EBC red or green are serious pads. Green were worse than standard ford on my seven. Changing to Mintex 1144 was incredible. Forodo DS2500 are reputedly even better or at least as good.

As above, I can recommend 1144's. I had green stuff on a cooper s and they were poor. Yellow stuff pads get a better right up for use on the track but not as good as the Mintex/Ferodo options.

I put some 1144s in mine and was very impressed. Good bite fom cold and then they just get better as they warm up.

I've got Mintex1144's in my Wilwods. Good bite from cold on the road and never had fade on track or in the Alps.

I've just swapped my M1144s for Hawk pads and they are significantly better...Remember to also bleed the fluid and put something decent in like RF600 or RBL fluids. This also makes an enormous difference.

Try here for Hawk, Ferodo & Carbontech for Wilwood, HiSoec etc

I have an unused set of Hawk DTC-30 for Powerlite caliper if anyone wants them.

I have Yellow stuff in in MK on standard Sierra brakes and they are great. Much better than standard and good value at £30 a set.

I've done several trackdays and to be honest haven't noticed the brakes cos they just work.

They work well enough from cold on the road as well.
