What to build

I'm looking for a kit to build, I have built a westfield (12 years ago) and rebuilt an old Catherham, I've had / driven quite a few nice cars, but like tinkering so would like to build another kit.

Restrictions are a single garage (so smallish car without doors)

Not another 7 type car.

Quite fancy mid / rear engined (i've owned 2 elises and been very pleased)

Not keen on the scaffold pole cars.

Must drive and handle well when finished!

I like the look of the J15 (favorite at present) , also Riot / J16 (but not very pretty)
I did like the Sprint R but that seems to have dissapeared.

Any body got any suggestions as to what to look at?

Anybody driven the J15 / Riot/J16 ?

What about a Fury or maybe the new JBA Falcon with the 6-cylinder BMW engine?

It looks like the Midget is winning at the moment......

Fury or Phoenix - Would be my choice if I were to do another car, The Riot we looked at Stoneleigh was one of my favourite cars there, have another look at them.

What do you mean not a good looking car?!!!

Have another look at the Riot.

It's one of the simper builds, you have a choice of bike or car engines and it's compact size surely is a bonus if you have limited space in which to build..

Adrian
Riot owner. 95% finished. IVA soon hopefully.

I do like the Riot, it looks great from the front and I particularly like it with the extra side intrusion bars, not so sure about the rear. But your correct it would suit my single garage better.

But the J15 is more or less the same car with a pretty body shell.

What engine are you putting in yours?

Also the riot needs to be in the right colours, what colour scheme have you gone for?

The riot at stoneleigh with carbon effect sides etc looked very good.

I still haven't seen a J15 in the flesh.

Mine has a 1.7litre VVT Sigma from a Puma. That gives it nearly 300bhp per ton running on the stock ford ECU and manifolds!

I went for BRG with a black interior and chrome fittings.

Just doing the last few jobs before applying for IVA.

Yes the J15 is basically a Riot with a bigger body and I also think that it is the best looking car of it's type but it does work out a few grand dearer to build.

Go and see Jeremy and drive both.
