capri
a friend has been offered a capri. are these any good as a donor and dose any one have an pic of the bits out of one.
what is it about me that makes me look like i know what im doing????

Engine, box, prop, rear axle, steering column, clocks, wiring loom, just about everything except the front suspension. I think the axle is better than
the escort, they also usually come with useable wheels.
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

Its a bit deceptive, the pump is anout 1 1/2" above the stainless protection plate, well out of the way of any road damage, but a water shield
is on the drawing board

A Capri MK111 would have all of this as well seeing as it's just a MK11 with a bit of a facelift.
P.S. you could also use the front struts and modify them to accept a top adapter. A friend has this very setup on his hillclimb car.

granada and sierra fuel pumps are in a really exposed position - the clamp that holds them in place gets a hard life, but the pump looked ok on my 13
year old donor. works fine on the car.
I built a alu box, put the pump in a tube in the box centre with the space between box and tube filled with expanding foam.
direct mounted pumps might set up an annoying vibration / noise thro the chassis.
