hi to all the helpfull of you out there ime new to site hopeing you can help me ime a triker with a reliant trike wos wondering can i convert fiesta mk1.mk2ormk3 carb engine to fit my rwd set up help

i don't know the answer to your question but if you have a look in the 3 wheel / trike section i feel sure you will find the answer

sorry to all u good people looking dint explain my prolem properly my trike frame is bike type style built my self can be alterd p of p just nead to no can i fit fiesta mk1 mk2 or mk3 engine to rwd gearbox to keep engine at front of frame

The early Fiestas used the crossflow engine so the basic answer is "yes you can" as it's an easy bolt on to a RWD ford gearbox of the same era (MK 1,2 Escort, most Capris, Cortina, Sierra type 9 etc.).

I'm not sure from your posts if you already have a Reliant engine and gearbox installed. If so, you'll find that the Reliant engine/box combo is quite short (longitudinally) and if you fit a Ford combo there might not be enough room for the propshaft.

it won't be quite so easy either if you are trying to mate a Reliant gearbox to a Fiesta engine. If I recall the Reliant has a cast-in bellhousing.

Some pictures of what you have now might help you get the answer you're after.

sorry russell thanks.for your advise just neaded to no if it can b done dont nead a rocket but need bit more umph than me reliant. sh t ,e me self last week goin to rali up m1 stuck at 70mph flat out btween 2 big beastys
