planning technicalities re. car meet/show on private land?
Quick question (re. the show that we are planning for next year)
Anybody know the legal/planning situation regarding a car meet/show held on private farm land?
I am 99.9% certain that its classed as temporary use (as indeed it is) and therefore needs no permission
I don't want to ask the council directly, as that simply creates problems where none existed!
I understand that I will need insurance to protect myself/my company, as organisers, but this is pretty cheap and not an issue.
Retro RWD is the way forward...........automotive fabrication, car restoration, sheetmetal work, engine conversion
retro car restoration and tuning

I believe farm land may be used for 28 days a year for "temporary use" several airstrips have been setup & used on exactly that basis
& boot sales work on the same principle, so can't see why you should have any problems other than requiring insurance to protect
yourselves.
If it's going to be a large gathering &/or there are any access issues that might impinge on local road access/parking etc. then it would
be a good idea to inform the local BIB just so they are aware it's a legitimate gathering.
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.
