r1 5vy wont start

Just on with fitting this r1 5vy tried to start it, turns over and there's fuel going through the rail but not through the injectors and there's no spark, it has an immobilise key and ECU which I think are of the same bike, lean angle is sorted and exup valve is connected any ideas cheers t

The ECU will shut the fuel on a cylinder that it can't fire a coil on, so the two are usually tied in nicely. By the way, before I offer some useless advice, the presence or absence of the EXUP unit won't affect the start or run (it'll just generate error code 17).

If you have no error codes, the the lack of start may well lie in the interlock system (sidestand/neutral/kill/etc.). Everything else should generate a simple error code that'll be meaningful.

Error codes that will terminate a start are things like the crank sensor, etc., so pretty fundamental.

Nice thing about the 5VY is that having got an error code, you can then use the diagnostic function to check the in/out voltages. It's really sweet.

Cheers motorcycle mayhem

Not got any clocks to check the codes and the connections have been removed ( school boy error)
If the side stand was not connected would it turn over or just be dead and the same for the rest of the sensors is there one thing that would stop fuel and spark

Cheers t
