pre 95 zetec wanted.

Condition not hugely important as long as it runs well enough to get through IVA pre '95 emissions.

quite rare to find now.

I've opted for a 1.8 CVH which will dissappear soon after IVA, the plus side is I can then find a lower mileage newer zetec.
Minimal work to fit a the zetec so I'm told, I'll need a new inlet manifold and a slight mod the the exhaust, most other things carry over.

If you can find one though its the way forward!

Its not hard to get a newer zetec engine through, you would just need a cat.

remember yo need to fit the escort waterpump to it if it is a mondeo engine the pump runs the opposite way due to the serpentine belt arrangement .

Hi, I have a 94 1800 zetec that I was planning to put up for sale as a complete package -

engine - rebuilt with;
gasket set - all new gaskets/seals.
2l cams
oil pump
Main and big end bearings
Spigot bearing
Cam belt kit
Escort water pump
ARP conrod bolts
rebuild head
ford modified pressure relief to prevent lifter jacking
ports cleaned up
valves cleaned and ground
Raceline sump
Dunnel flywheel
Inlet manifold / throttle bodies
Ford engine management, loom, relays - cut down loom, just connect permanent and switched live
Escort alternator, low level mounting & belt
Starter motor - modified for sump clearance, plus alloy spacer
engine mounts for book locost
exhaust manifold homemade, over the top rails style for book locost
plastic fuel tank with integral injection pump in sump (works fine on track and at low fuel levels). also has level sender although i've never used it.
Dyno test with print out 130bhp
Clutch cover and pressure plate with 7/8" x 20 splines (for type 2 or 3 box)

The rebuild was in March this year and since then its done 1 track day and a few hundred road miles.
Its currently in the car which is taxed until end of sept, so can be heard running/test run.

looking for £1300 for the lot. Any interest?

Really sorry but I was thinking of something a lot cheaper than that.

I just need a basic runner.
