inertia reel 4 point harness

I have an interesting harness which combines a 4 belt belt with the convenience of the inertia reel - you get the comfort, safety, security and look of a racing harness when you need it, but you can actually move around and importantly, reach switches, cut off etc.

It's actually from a light aircraft, and as such isn't CE marked, but does have FAA markings (Federal aviation authority, I assume) which I think means it can be crashed in 3 dimensions, rather than just the 2 that car belts can cope with....

It's rated to 2500lbs

Date of manufacture is 1998.

The full extension length of the belts, from buckle to fixing is 1000mm for the shoulder strap and 600mm for the waist strap. As such it is ideal for cars where the mounting is closer to the drivers shoulders, like a Locost or mid engined car with seats up against a bulkhead - GT40 etc

The inertia reels appear to work mounted vertically, horizontally or any angle in between.
