Steering advice

Hi all,

Looking for a bit of advice from peeps who have done similar before..

I'm building a McSorley 442 with a Rover v8 engine in it. This means I need to put a "kink" in the steering column. I think I need to fit a straight piece to the steering rack, then a UJ, another straight piece, then another UJ to connect to the steering column.

I was hoping to get some thoughts on connections. I can't seem to find any straight female spline connectors for the steering rack connector, and should I use spline connections for all the other parts? i.e. both ends of the middle section, and replace the triangle on the end of the steering column with a male spline.

Cheers,
KEv.

Thanks for the photos, guys.

So am I correct in thinking that in both cases, there is a UJ directly on the steering rack, and another one further out?
