Rover V8 EFi with Sprintex charger and other bits for sale

Time for a clear out!

Rover 3.5 EFi V8 engine built by Sprintex. Supercharger is present but not fitted as engine has been in use as a n/a recently. The engine loom is all there. Only original parts missing are the Sprintex plenum chamber top, the tensioner pulley and the drive belt.
Engine runs well and is more powerful in n/a form than a stock engine. Looking for £600 ono.

Rover V8 SD1 5 speed gearbox with bellhousing but no gear linkage. Bought for above engine but never used. £125 ono

Sherpa short gear linkage for SD1 gearbox. £50

Holley 390 carb. It works (all I can say!). £50

All the parts are in Rolvenden in Kent but the lighter stuff could be collected from Fareham as I work there.

I'll be perfectly honest - I don't know. I took the inlet manifold off to replace the valley gasket and the inlet tracts had been nicely ported. The engine was clean and the cam looked unworn.

According to various sites about the Sprintex engines they put out 250-275 hp. Not bad considering they didn't have any intercooling.

Cheers for that, Benzo. I find ebay prices really fluctuate. I saw a v8 box go for 50 and a few seconds later a straight 6 box go for 350!

If you don't get rid of the bell and gearbox I'll have them off you. However I have no way to collect so we'd have to sort a courier or something. Let me know if it doesn't sell.
