Does it need to confirm to MSA specs or just road use?

MSA regs state 45 x 2.5 or 50 x 2.0 CDS.
dont forget a diagonal brace, and rear braces are required for most race events, and for good reason, so may as well add them.
Even if you dont plan on racing, its the best spec to work to.

Another query whilst on the role bar topic. I have not found any fabrication drawings for the roadster but have measured the centers of the role bar fixing locations as 1000mm. I may possibly be able to obtain a professionally fabricated roll bar from a friend but its uprights are at 900 centers. Now this will still mean that they fit onto the role bar plate but will be offset by 5mm to the inside edges of them. Could I weld a recieved bracket to the role bar which can then bolt on top of the role bar plate on the chassis? The bar will then sit on the book spec plate toward the inside and still be bolted to the original location?

Is this acceptable or not a good idea? Will it look strange?
