Koso/ Type 9 G/box speed sensor help!?

Can anybody with a KOSO RX2N+ and a type 9 help me out? Or even anybody with more common sense then I have!

Ive just tried to fit this...

... And I have no idea how the little threaded collar would fit into the gearbox to pevent it falling back out.

Can somebody point me in the right direction!?

Thanks in advance- Mark.

i suspect that your supposed partially disassemble and fit........
unscrew the collar it should leave you just the drive adaptor, on a type 9 this part (would be the end of the manual cable) is often held on the gearbox with a circlip undo the cir clip and fit your adaptor, refit the circlip..........this may be the problem your having, the circlip is likely missing especially if you bought the gearbox second hand. Then screw back on the cable sensor you have.

sometimes you are the pigeon, most of the time the statue.

As stated already, my view is that the circlip fits behind the large (what looks like a washer) but infront of the threaded collar to lock it in, I gather there are no install papers with it?.

ETA.

I suspect that the unit is made as a generic 'one fits all' with an adapter included for the the application you are using, the bit 'after' the collar is this adapater ?..

Sorry MsD, just noticed it was you, do you want me bob over at some point - most likely will be next weekend at the moment.

Thanks for taking the time to reply guys...

After another day in the garage fiddling it turns out that the diameter of the hole in the middle of the 'adapter plate' wasnt large enough to go over the boss of the G/box speedo drive. So i drilled it out a few mm's and it fits like a glove!

Now where did I put that bloody circlip 3years ago

Thanks, Mark.
