Strange looking 7 found on Speedhunters

I've came across this 7 and couldn't find any more information on the parts of it's aero on the back.

No more pictures could be found on the web either. Only thing I know is that it's from an event in UK called "JAPFEST MONDELLO"

Anybody have any clues? It's got an interesting diffuser on the back, body lines flare out to go even with the fender and muffler goes into it, cut front fenders, and a whale tail type aero going across the rear fenders. Not to mention the taillights look pretty good too.

Thank you

And this, which appears to be a different one unless it has a twin exhaust, which wouldn't make sense on that motor, but I'll link it just in case.

The white Locost appears to be the same as this members: noc231073

the 1st+2nd pictures aren't the same car as the 3rd one.£rd one has different wheels (not conclusive), no pin stripe down the side and a normal BUSA engine (not v8 using bUSA heads) so won't have the other set of pipes.

I suspect what you're looking at on the first one is a custom set of bodywork.

The top one looks like a westfield with the aero style/ hillclimb wings on.

It looks like a modified version of that one without the big front splitter on..

Mark.

Does anybody know that car at all? Is he a member on the site? Maybe even more pictures of it?

I'm very curious about the wheels on the car and would love to see a picture of them stationary. Then try to figure out what sizes and offsets he is using.

At this point in time I'm forced to assume that the body work on the car is one off. The diffuser on the back is an interesting setup as well.

Westy

Hi

A bit if info.
That's me in the Mk indy . The westfield as far as I can remember is an s2000 Westfield . In you first pics you have 3 different cars mine , the s2000 and a black hayabusa Westfield owned by a friend of mine.

The s2000 is owned by a guy from Northern Ireland.
I sure it has raced in kirkstown by a different owner .
I think Steven Donnelly I maybe mistaken but a quick google will confirm

Thank you, this helped a lot!

This the only still photo of the car I've found after hours of searching

The wheels are unique and the rear body work looks custom.

No worries, gives me a direction to continue in.

Isn't it the Westfield "v8 spoiler" like someone on here was selling recently?

Just looked, it's not the same.

The video below is what was for sale.

The one for sale was indeed more of a "spoiler style" while this is more of a whale tail extension on the deck.

Yes they did. Different sidepods however. Theirs start low and climb up to the fender.

The ones used by Locost47 (member in question) are flat throughout.

My guess is that his body is a one off.

Hi,
I used to own the seven in the pics with the bodywork, it was made in light alloy sheets and actually did work but did produce drag. For reference it did 58sec laps at Kirkistown with bodywork/diffuser and 59sec laps without. I have built a new car with the chassis to my design using centre lock wheels, k20a engine etc and in the process of constructing bodywork based on my old car as it's a bit too light on its feet at higher speeds... PM me if you need any more info about the car...

Ah I see, so you change to a slower car to challenge yourself more... clever!

Thank you very much for replying!

I will come up with a few questions and will U2U from now on.
