Oil pressure sender in R1
Hi there, I'm looking to fit an oil pressure sender unit into my 06 R1 5vy
My mate has one fitted but is unsure on the adaptor thread needed to go into the engine
Here's a pic of where it's located on his R1, does anyone know the thread size for this hole?
This is the back of the engine with the prop just to the right
Many thanks in advance
Greg

If it is one of the original oil takeoff points that had a big cap with an Allen key hole (there is one on either side of the engine then it is an m16
adapter that you want. I used am m16 to 1/8th npt adapter. I've got temp sensor in one side screwed directly into the engine, but I've got
my pressure sensor off a length of braided hose, and then rubber mounted onto my chassis to stop it getting wrecked from engine vibrations.

you definitely want to have it remote mounted, i have read about a few that have failed when they have been mounted like that.

1/8th npt in Metric will be m10 fine if it is truely metric.
