As the title says. I need the plastic cam bush at the top of sierra column to take out exsess play.

Mine is missing. Tried ford. No stock anywhere.

Does anyone have an old column for spares.

Thanks

Is this what you are looking for? ebay
How much do you want to pay?

Looks similar but not quite.

To be honest I don't know if its going to cure my problem but looking at diagrams its missing from the top of the column and I have exsessive play.
Just a process of elimination. The only other thing could be the bearing its self but I have no idea if it is serviceable. Might be a new column in the end.

if you don't need the cam, why not just make one out of a bit of plastic bar ?

Yeah. A professional bodge will be next option. Just thought if a few quid for the oe part I don't have to search around for correct bore etc.

I would have thought there would be a good market for someone making these in alloy, they are really easily broken and difficult to find these days, I have one on my Fiesta which is still hanging in there but it's starting to lose it's shape a bit.

That would be a good idea.

Am I right in thinking this also prevents play in the upper column?

I've tracked one down through work to a ford dealer on Dublin of all places so will be a few days postage to England. Hope it's what I need.

I machined one for my car don't think I took any photos of it though and it was a pain in the ass to make. The simple option is to find a metal collar the correct size the put a blob of weld on it and grind it down to the correct size.

I've probably got one. I gave up with the sierra indictor/hazard assembly and just bought a new 'all in indicator'. Sadly it doesn't have self cancelling. Not sure of the part you require, my cars in storage at the moment however so my access is limited.
