Chassis rust - paint

Hi All,

My car came back with a mot advisory that the chassis is looking a tad rusty. I've checked and its all surface rust but would like to give it a sand and a lick of paint.

I'm pretty lazy with this car as its superficial and its not the kit car so bearing that in mind whats good value, converts any missed rusty bits and ideally one coat?

Adam

Once you can see the rust, there will be more behind it. If you're after a tidy up then wire cup brush in the angle grinder and strip back to clean metal. Then use Kurust or Bilt Hamber rust converter to treat the affected area before primer and top coat.

This will inhibit the spread of the rust, not stop it.
