Protech shocks leaking?

I have noticed an oilly residue on the back of the front upper wishbone

After a quick 'taste test' i found it wasn't brake fluid, so i believe its coming from the shock itself.

I imagine the seal has been damaged, are there any rebuild kits for these available?
Easy enough to do yourself or is there something nasty inside that wont like me?

Send them an email. If they are low mileage then let them know.

One of mine leaked before it got on the road, I sent it back to them and they fixed it foc and sent it back.

Yes give them a call, I expect even if they do charge for a refurb, it won't be much.

I got a reply back via email today, they seem very helpful

£30 is the maximum charge for a refurb, cheaper if they dont need new rods he said! (plus postage and vat)

not bad at all if you ask me!
