Toyota 4age

Im having a serious rethink on my BEC engine car as I Started the Bec engine for the first time which promptly seized solid after 30 seconds, yes there was oil in it.

So it took about 10 mins to decide 4AGE,

What have you lot in my computer got that will help me on my way converting my car to 4age, I am starting from scratch, so engine gearbox, conversion bellhousing, anything really,

I'd be wanting to know why your last engine seized before leaping into a different install.... Got to be worth an evening tearing the old lump apart and tracking down the culprit. I can't help with the 4AGE bits - sorry and good luck!

As above. RAW provided the supercharger upgrade on my 20v 4AGE and their service was first class. Martin was exceptionally helpful throughout the build.

They should have all of the bits you need.

Have a look at my post from Nov last year

Most of the stuff is still in the shed and I would be glad to see it go to a builder.

An alternative to the 4AGE is the Ford Sigma/Zetec SE engine, worth looking at. Now used by Caterham and Westfield as their standard fit engines, also found in the Sylva J15/R1OT. Lots of tuning bits available.

All ally engine, very light (my 1.7 is less than 100kg with all ancillaries), one of the best flowing heads around, the 1.6 is found in the Puma, Fiesta and Focus so plenty available/cheap, with cams, rod bolts and valve springs on TB's/ECU and a decent exhaust it will make 180hp all day at 8k rpm with a decent amount of torque.

Just a thought.
