Complete 1600K Series Egine Installation for sale
I am starting the upgrade of an ex Academy & Hillclimb Caterham 1600K Series, and installing a high power VX Redtop, widetrack, big brakes etc,
therefore the complete 1600K Series engine installation will be for sale.
The installation will include the engine, injection, ECU, loom, clutch, flywheel, starter motor, alternator, Apollo etc etc.
The engine has currently completed 10,300 miles, and rising, the car was in competition from 2002 to 2011, raced for 3 years and sprinted and
hillclimbed for 8 .
I have invoices for 'upgrade' from Minister, though there is no details of what it involved, though I do know it has forged pistons.
There are no MSA seals on the engine, the car was involved in a major incident at Shelsley Walsh in 2010 resulting in a new chassis and 2 replacement
valves for the engine
The engine will be in the car until November.
Whats it worth? - £1250.00, and I want it to go complete, I don't have the space to strip it.

Cracking good engines these. Very light and the 1600 is a screamer! What throttle biddies is it on?

It's just the standard K series injection as fitted to Caterhams

Some caterhams have super sport inlet manifold. Some roller barrel throttle bodies, some standard inlet with rear facing filter!

As I said, it's a standard Caterham Academy engine.
