WANTED - Locost machining for hub
Hi,
I have a project I've been playing at for months, and it's come to the point where I need a small amount of machining done on a hub. I
used to have a friend of a friend who would be able to do this sort of thing - but he just emigrated, so thats gone up in smoke.
It's a motorcycle drive hub that I need a few mm taking off one of the faces, I'd estimate the hub is approx 7-8inches across, so someone
would need a reasonable size lathe.
I'm happy to pay for the work, but I don't want to pay pro prices!
So if anyone with a bit of knowhow and the right kit is interested in say £30? (I don't even know if that is reasonable for the job sorry...)
Then let me know.
Happy to post, but I am based near southport and travel to Manchester every day so perhaps someone local might fancy a play?
Cheers

Metal Hippy from here does some lovely machining for people of all sorts of engine parts.
He's in St.Albans but maybe you can work something out.
Cheers,
James
