Duratec First Start

It lives

Currently has no exhaust manifold so sounds a bit strange. Amazed at how quickly it started - had only ever been cranked with out plugs to check for oil pressure.

Will update my engine swap thread when I get a chance.

Thanks to everyone for their help and advice along the way.

Nice to see another one going.




Duratec Engine is fitted, MS2 Extra V3 is assembled and tested, engine running, car now built. IVA passed 26/02/2016

Mine is still 6-12 months away from that point....i did turn it over by hand today (well the wife did, she has her uses )

Surprised me how well it starts - was expecting 5 min of cranking and chugging to get it going.
