Hayabusa won't turn over?

OK car has been perfect, went out to the garage to start the car, the starter turns but does not crank the engine. On 1 or 2 attempts it has turned but then the starter just spins again?

any ideas?

I have rocked the car in gear and this has not made any difference?

no fully charged with a booster battery connected.

I took the cover off the starter gear and was able to turn the gear one way and then got it to lock, great! put it all back together and it turned once then just spun on the starter again?

Is there something in the clutch that might not be engaging after it has been stood? will a bump start work or do more damage?

Think you have one of these fitted to your engine

Extreme Billet Starter
Possibly the upper gear's protection sprag clutch or possibly the lower original Hayabusa starter clutch has gone.

Yes that is what I have,

Possibly the upper gear's protection sprag clutch or possibly the lower original Hayabusa starter clutch has gone.

I looked at the top gear and it did look OK (whats the sprag bit then?) will have to take the cover off and check the starter clutch by the look of it?

OK found out what the spray gear is.

Next question does anyone know how to test either the spray gear or the clutch gear?
