Wheel counterbore - what is going on

Beginning to doubt my own sanity now.

Did loads of checking before I bought my new wheels.

Car is a quantum which was single donor sierra.

Every piece of information I can find shows that the sierra an most other fords runs a 63.4 bore in the wheel.

Rears fit fine, fronts wont go on. Why?

There boss on the front hub is 72mm OD and the wheel wont go anywhere near. Stud pattern is fine at 4x108 and offset matches but I seem to have different front brakes or something. Anyone got any idea WTF is going on now with this?

Look carefully at the boss, there may be a spiggot ring on it from a previous fitment of aftermarket wheels

If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

Different front brakes? Do you mean calipers or discs. Discs must be odd if they go over the hub bore.

Gave it a little persuade and dug out some of the shite and found it is fitted with 6mm hub centric spacers. The spacers are made up to suit TSW factory bore that are normally fitted with spigot rings.
Seems to be a poo way to deal with the front wings not sitting over the wheels in the stock position.
Thank bleep for that, can sort out wings easily enough
