Gaz coilovers

Hi Guys,

I've had a little blond moment today and caught the front wheel on the kerb bending the shock on one side, does anyone know what shocks are fitted to a MK Indy or can anyone point me in the right direction where to get a single or two fronts from?

Best to take it off and measure it if you have bent the shock you may have bent a wishbone as well ??

Have a very good look at the wishbone mounting points onto chassis.

MK supply Protec now,but used to use Gaz.

If its a Gaz damper the part number on the shock will tell you the open/closed length of the damper. Have a look on rally designs.

Thanks for all the help guys, I've just removed all the parts and to be honest I've been really lucky, the wishbone took all the force meaning the mounting points are still as they should be, the shock isn't actually bent but cracked at the bottom, Unsure if his could be salvaged or not.

I probably wouldn't try repairing that shock, not much meat for a new weld. Definitely get a new wishbone though!

There´s been discussion about strength of wishbones.
this clearly show that wishbones should be "disposable" to save chassis and lives...
My humble point of view...

I'm glad to say the Indy is back together again, until the weekend anyway when the engine is coming out for the gearbox to be refurbished, once all built up then off for a fresh geometry set up, can't wait now.

Big thanks to MK Sports cars for the excellent customer service & speedy delivery.
