Key for powder coating alloy panels

What would be a good key for prepping alloy panels for powder coating I was going to use p80 sand paper? Maybe a bit on the rough side?

Hi Dave

Not sure but I used Alpha powder coating in Peterborough who did all my panels, good finish and they etched it first before the coating. Reasonable cost too.

I just scuffed mine with a scotch pad. The powder coat has stuck really well.

Thanks for the info I have gone over mine with an orbital sander and 120 grit.
