zetec turbo oil drain location

Hi everybody,

I have read lots of information regarding the correct position of the turbo oil drain hose, and now I'm completely confuddled. Anyone who has a zetec turbo could possibly tell me where they have the drain hose located, pro's and con's please

Thanks

Andy

Mine is in top of the sump just below flange, its been like that for 4 years with no issues. I have also fitted a oil restrictor in the feed pipe.

Yes, as above the return feeds into the side of the sump below the flange (but above the oil level). No problems in 5 years and many trackdays.

Just Google the focus Rs mk1 position. As above its in the mid alloy section below the turbo and above the max oil level.

@madteg, which restrictor did you use, what is the pipe and what is it restricted to?
