Paddleshift test

Paddleshift test on the Phoenix

Just to add this is a Geartronics pneumatic system and as you can see the clutch is still engaged (no one in the car). So when driving this is clutchless and full throttle shifts. with a blip on the downchange.

Usually a high pressure tank like air gun tank on a hillclimb car,but as Jeffs is a road car I'd imagine a compressor based system

There is a compressor & accumulator under the passenger seat. Slightly heavier solution than the bottle (1-1.5Kg) but it means I don't have to drag a very large air bottle around with me in the RR.

I was surprised at Llandow that I could hear the gear change air puff from trackside.... Even with all the other super charger related noises.

And as a passenger you get quite a buzz coming up from it! Maybe that was why Debbie was screaming

It is possible there is an air-leak somewhere but I think it is normal.

Sounded "normal"... Just didn't expect to be able to hear it trackside over all the other noise. Just a quick "pssst" on each change
