Zx12r retarding

Do the zx12r engines as in the a1 and a2 restart the timing in 1sr 2nd and 3rd gear like the zx9 engines do?

I thought it was just 1st on the ZX12, with the A2 and onwards models also having a rev limiter (speed limiter) in 6th. To be honest, my car takes off like a scolded cat, so I am not sure what more you would get by eliminating this - I suspect you would just run a higher risk of damaging the clutch or gearbox.

mine feels like it is retarting and holding back before it kick in properly.

so is this confirmed in 1st on the A1&A2?

Is it remapped for your setup? The Kwak forums suggest 1st and 2nd, but they also say the eliminate devices are snake oil. I would start by looking at your map and see if it is setup at low revs. Mine was flat below 5k before the remap. Now it will pull in 6th from 25mph....

I have a Power Commander. If you have the newer version of the Power Commander, you can remap the ignition as well as the fuel maps.

i assume power commander would remove the retarding? any links to someone selling these?

I think mines on standard management. Maybe it just needs to be mapped.
