Where's the sweet spot?
Looking for a new daily runner.
Is there a sweet spot between just another old car and retro cool? I'm not after the golden goose future classic, just something cheap that
looks cool, rather than a crappy old car...

Renault Clio 172 or 182 look good bets, both can be had for less than £2k.
Or mk1 Audi TT.

Just get the car you like the most in the best condition you can.
If it is older than 4 years, it will look crap in the eyes of some anyway.

I missed a mk1 golf a few weeks ago, real shame, as in a few years I think that it will be the next classic
Or a 2002 BMW , tourer would be my choice, if I had to buy a BMW !
Or an early Vauxhall caviler boring as f***, but different
Thats was probably spelt wrong, or had some grammer, that the "grammer police have to have a moan at

All good options. I have a mate selling a rare blue mk1 TT but it's too much of a girls car.
Early Vauxhalls might be a good idea along with VWs. Would also like a Rover SD1...
