Kitcar friendly mot center near Basingstoke?
Morning all,
I'm looking for a Kit Car friendly Mot center near Basingstoke? Any good recommendations? By friendly I don't mean letting any old heap of
junk through but ones that will actually look at a kitcar would be nice!
Thanks,

Grantleys in Basingstoke are decent chaps to use.
https://grantleyslimited.co.uk/
I didn't use them for my MK Indy, but have used them for mine and SWMBOs tintops for MoT and repair work. Being nextdoor to my work helps, but
they also talk straight and don't mess around.
In Winchester (I see that in your location) I've used Foundry Motors (In fact they've MoT'd SWMBOs car today).

Again easy to deal with and don't mess about. As a bonus if you drop your car off there you can walk 100 yards round the corner to the Good
Life cafe and hafe a decent coffee while you're waiting.

Ring the Daneshill one and speak to Rob or Harry and tell them I sent you (Dave/loggyboy). Both young car enthusiast who would be happy to see a
Kit.

PETS Petersfield have tested my car for the past 4 years (BEC, no reverse) and been good to deal with every time.

I used to go to a kit car friendly place for years, moved area completely and ended up going to Halfords. They were the best place I have taken a kit
car to since the 80s, very helpful and accommodating with a BEC no reverse etc etc
and under £30, bonus

I've taken mine to the local garage in the past couple of places I have lived and never had any issues. I think most places take a sensible
approach to cars like ours.

Since 2011, I've always taken mine to Hart Motor Company next to M3 car supermarket, near Hartley Wintney. They've always been kit car
friendly and the £29 fee has never been increased. :-)
