Whats the battery to go with? as in what electronics are you going to be running and are you going to be using an alternator? and is the vehicle for day to day or track days or both?

Try ringing Allan Macdonald of A&G Motorcycles as he supplies lithium bike batteries to hillclimb car racers (he built and races a 4wd Mini Evo creation) http://aandgmotorcycles.co.uk/batteries.html

Google DMS Varley Red Top for traditional racing car gel cell batteries too. Try race car parts suppliers such as Merlin Motorsport, Raceparts, Trident Racing Supplies, Demon Tweaks, and maybe even direct from DMS Technologies.

You will need to think carefully about what you are trying to acheive, how it fits in with your use of the car and how to keep the battery charged (or will you be going for a non-charging total loss racing system?)

Cheers
Mike

I have a YTX 20 lithium battery here that I can no longer use for motorsport. It is not quite a year old. Weighs 1.19kg, CCA360, dimensions L= 150mm W = 87mm H = 105mm. I paid £145 for it.
