Capri Strut

OK, Have a dilemma and making plans for the future (not Nigel) thinking forward about the slow evolution of my car, and the very awkward front suspension, which has its geometry compromised once you try and lower it to where I want it, with a small amount of fabrication and using the original suspension pickup points, I may be able to use a shortened (very) capri strut, what I need to know are there any bottom ball joints that will fit in the strut taper and be able to bolt on to something, I know Austin Ambassador ones fit but are push in to a hole in the TCA, I want bolt on, so I can faff about with geometry and get what I want. any suggestions?
