Interviews with Ron Champion and Matt Reid about Locost 001 and the genesis of the Locost

Great interviews with Ron Champion and Matt Reid about Locost 001 and the genesis of the Locost design: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xwk6u8FakGI Thanks John Minion for the interviews and the encouragement of Jim Gould of the 7Spot FB Group.

Matt - the car is looking great - a superb sympathetic recommissioning and gentle refurbishment. You mentioned Premier Wiring Systems - is that ‘Mango’ in Scotland, if so any contact details please. I am need of a new loom and about to decide on whether I fit a Crossflow or 948cc Sprite engine so would need something very similar.

Cheers
Mike

Thanks for sharing.

Ron Champion is one our forefathers we all need to thank for innovating the car industry and taking on the big boys.

7spot is a great channel, I have been catching up on their videos recently and this one is ANOTHER example opportunity I missed at Malvern for my channel. Gutted. . .

Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!

IIRC Premier was an English couple who settled in Spain, and made wiring looms from there. I just tried the website I had bookmarked when I was building my Haynes in 2012 (http://www.premierwiring.co.uk/), but it no longer exists, so I'm afraid so does the company.

Thanks for posting the video link.

I bought the Ron Champion book one lunchbreak in Waterstones some years back. It lead me to kit cars and chosing the MK Indy to build. Have to say I enjoyed and learnt so much from the whole process. I enjoyed the build part equally as much if not more thatn the end result.
