Well done Ed!!!

An interesting story

I met Ed many moons back when I was in a garage next to him at Snetterton. He was running Elite Motorsport out of one of the workshops near the entrance to Snetterton. At the time him and 1 other guy had a 7.5ton truck and he was was racing his race car in 750mc. He had only recently graduated, designed and built a se7en style car and was already making waves.

I got talking to him and took him up on his offer of a days set up and tuition with my Raw Striker. We both went to Rockingham and had a great day. He called me a pussy as I was scared to go out in the rain on R888s, I had only done a few trackdays. I caved to the peer pressure, went out in the monsoon and it was red flagged with 3 laps it was soo bad!!!

I was well chuffed for him and to see him do soo well in the Ginette cars. I saw one of his cars recently at brands and had a good look, you can see me longingly look for him here in one of my recent episodes at 13:28 and give his car some extra screen time.

Really chuffed for him. When I look back and remember asking him about his aspirations over lunch that day at Rockingham I remember thinking "good luck mate, but you are day dreaming". . . Little did I know!!!!

Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!
