Bodywork suppliers generally and specifically Aero screens

Is it me but has the number of people supplying bodywork dropped dramatically?

I appreciate we're not in 2004 at the height of the locost boom but i'm struggling to find suppliers of bodywork generally.

Specifically I want a caterham aero screen. Kit Car Direct still advertise the screen but don't have stock. When i asked them they said the mold had broken and they couldn't get any more. If you look through the site lots of GRP isn't available. Start searching the internet and not many people are listing the body work parts any more.

Does anyone know any suppliers?

A lot of it is down to company buying out other company's then finding they hadn't kept hold of the specs/mounds when they outsourced the work.

Or its the company itself buyers dry up due SVA/IVA. coming in so they mothball the kitcar side. & try make money on there day to day garage work again

There was a good write up in a kitcar Magazine about a guy that needed a new front screen for his Jester.

As the one he had was showing the wrong Kite mark so would not now pass the IVA test

So he had to try and find who made the screen for the car himself as the car maker is Mothballed /No longer trading.

In the end he had to spend a lot of money getting a crate load made. As the glass company that made the screen first off.

Said to him that was the only way cost wise it was worth doing. for them.

Not very good at all really

Via random luck I've found this company - no experience dealing with them but thought i'd add it so others can find them as they've not historically appeared on my searches.
