Grandfather and step grandson?
I popped out in my kit yesterday, a chilly drive down to Sandbanks and this impressive beast also arrived. Had a good chat with the owner, who was
very informative. Many years ago I got the inspiration for my "door" flags from one of these Bentleys, so it was was great to park up next
to another one. In some ways the cars are very similar, but other ways not, like the shear size of the thing! I think they look like they are related
somehow but a few generations apart. Anyway, just thought you might like to see the pics.

that is massive- got to love a blower!
Did you see the TG episode with the one that some chap in the SW built by hand? Next size up?

Was it Ettore Bugatti that called them the worlds fastest lorries? Amazing things, looks like the brake drums are about the same size as your wheels!

Phoned the local ramblers club today, but the bloke who answered just
went on and on.

drum brakes and friction dampers will definatly make it an interesting thing to drive quickly - espesially given the weight of the thing 
it was actually a car with very similar tech that got me interested in building a kit in the first place
(although much, much lighter weight)
The 1953 Fairley Mercury - Ford V8 special hilclimb car, it was a freind of may dad's that rebuilt and ran it in the early 2000's
