Anyone fancy a pint in central scotland?

Alright folks?

Does anyone fancy meeting up sometime soon. I think we agreed the Camelon was a better venue.

I should be there.

I don't suppose anyone who is going has any "spare" 3mm steel plate to make the 4" square rear bulkhead plates they could sell me? (I forgot to get it from the steel stock holders when I bought the tubes).

15th sounds good. Back in Camelon? Yep I am still using the locost everyday and now travelling further to work. Went and seen about a roof the other week, pretty good price but got some work to do first.

I'm building a standard book car - (I think I bought the last mark 2 Escort in Central Scotland).

I've bought my wishbones already but still need to sort out the trailling links and Panhard rod, so I'dd be happy to buy the 1" seemless tube.

Don't suppose you have any seemless tubing for the the bush holders? (Can't remember the diameter). The steel stockholder (Metal Supermarket in Livingston were out of stock when I bought the RHS).

Hornet,

just checked the book - the bush tubes are also 1" (25mm) seemless, but they need to have an inside diameter of 13/16" (21mm).

Also does anyone local have a pipe bender / plumbers spring etc that I could borrow to bend the 19mm tubes for the back panel?

Mark.... i think you misunderstood.. or i did, i meant the dimensions of the seamless for the bush holder for poly bushes.. much larger than book ones.
And.... i had my tube bent at "Pirtek" in Bankside ind est Falkirk. It only cost me £22

Hornet,

The book says 1", but I measured my wishbones today (2nd hand Stuart Taylor Motorsport) and they are 34mm OD, 29mm ID. (Picture may be attached if I can get it working!)

Looking at the book on page 77, I guess that the bush on the right hand side is the standard triumph one that fits 1" tubes?

I'm not sure what bushes will fit mine. I'll bring one of the wishbones with me on Friday. Hopefully someone there might know?

How did it go? Sorry I couldn't make it. Too busy building up the brownie points (Away with the missus) so I can have more garage time!

Will there be one next month?

Cheers,
Ian

Anytime this month suits me, apart from the 20th wee up with the work. Count me in any other time, and promise not to bugger off till I am suitably drunk this time.

I can't make it on any Friday in December - 2 work's nights out and a pub crawl already booked so far!

Dunc - I emailed you the ProE cad files, but they bounced because your Blueyonder mail box was full.
