Striker Live Axle Diff Removal

I have to rebuild my diff. Any change to get it out without removing the fuel tank? Is it worth giving it a try?

When I changed mine on Striker it came forward, so the fuel tank wasn't an issue, it was a while ago so might be wrong but difinitely didn't remove the fuel tank

I released the two lower trailing arm bolts on the axle and tilted the axle casing back so the diff nose was facing down at an angle, this gave enough room to drop the diff out.
The fuel tank shouldn't be an issue unless you have a larger custom tank in there, the original mini van tank leaves plenty of room to work.

This question will be answered TOMORROW. . . . Kind of!

A new episode is out tomorrow on https://www.youtube.com/@TeaNBizz-Kits where I race against the clock to remove my diff from my IRS striker.

Please take a look. Its an extended episode which covers some custom 3D printed parts, compression testing my engine and POR15.

Also subscribe and check out the other episodes. THANK YOU!!!

I suspect not...the OP has an English axle, not an IRS!

Yes, diff is out. What I learned:

- You need a slide hammer to pull the half shafts
- Fuel tank can stay
