Oil

It’s time to give the road car a oil and filter change
So what make of oil is the favourite on here
It’s a Astra 1.6 if that makes any difference

in the everyday cars I have been using Mannol FS 5-30, cheap in 20L tubs. Seems fine.
I know a lot of cars now have VERY specific oil requirements, especially anything with a wet belt (possibly why so many ecoboosts have issues)
In my old cars I use Millers.... in my ST170 I have been using Fuchs 5-40, but that has now all been used (I got a bargain 20L off fleabay) so will be looking out for something similar.

Oil

Nothing fancy or exotic etc .....

Have been using 5 - 30 Redex ..... changed regularly, but can only make a guess that it's doing its job properly !

I tend to head to Opie oils and see whatever's cheapest at the time (minus whatever 10% discount I can also find). Looking at my old emails shows Millers taking the lead. I can't say I've had any issues with it.
