Trailing arms and bushes

Hi,
I am looking to replace my trailing arms but am having difficulty finding a combination of trailing arms and bushes that fit my car.
I have brought these trailing arms and bushes from Kit Car direct but with the bushes they are wider than the 40 mm gap I have in the brackets.
As the trailing arms are 35 mm wide and the bushes protrude 4 mm on each side, so they are 3 mm too wide to fit in the bracket, if that makes sense... 35+4+4 = 43 mm
I have looked at many different websites but am failing to find ones that fit.
Can anyone help?
I believe it is a Stuart Taylor chassis orginally if that makes a difference?
Thanks,
Ed

Can you not cut down the bushes you've got?

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

I couldn’t see a link to the bushes but am guessing it’s these ones?

https://www.kitcardirect.co.uk/products/mk-indy-wishbone-45mm-mild-steel-crush-tube-m12-and-poly-bush-black-each?_pos=1&_sid=9494d317c&_ss=r r />
I would think they just need reducing in size to fit.

If you have access to a lathe you can turn down the bushes and crush tubes.
With a mill you could take a bit off the arms to reduce the width of the outer shell and keep a bit more lip on the bushes.

More simply, you could just file/grind them down to fit?

Thanks for the ideas.
Will see if I can grind down the arms enough to get them to fit.
