Sierra 7 inch diff to chain drive.

I have a mid engined project on the go and it came with a 7 inch Sierra differential, push in drive shafts and what I assume are sierra splined rear hubs. These all fit the car perfectly as it was designed for this.

I've seen that you can get a quaife sealed diff for chain drive applications but this is based on an IB5 differential. I'd therefore need to get custom shafts made up which ads about £5-600 onto the budget. You can get a 23 degree Quaife ÀTB for caterham and kit applications that I think I could use in the sierra diff with my push in shafts.

Therefore if I made a suitable diff casing and mounting frame I could put it in place of the sierra diff easily enough. However would my sierra push in shafts still work in this situation?

I'm considering chain drive for BEC engine orientation, ease of gearing set up and I think I'd save a decent amount of weight
