Best place to sell?
Hi all. What's the best place to advertise a kit car for sale these days? I bought an MK-built chassis and bodywork from Ron Champion in 2001
(when he had his showroom in Peterborough), built it up with a 1600 crossflow and passed SVA in 2004. Life is changing and now I need to sell it
fairly quickly. Traffic on this site isn't the volume it used to be so I wondered where to advertise to get best buyer exposure. Thanks.

There's several Facebook groups that get a large amount of traffic and many requests for 'anything for sale'. As an example

Facebook marketplace is free, but be wary of scammers, Ebay is still good if you can take the tyre kickers & daft enquiries - I'd say put it
on here first, there's still a fair number of peeps on here & the vast majority are fitted with a brain! Pistonheads might be worth a
punt.
Quite honestly I think you'll struggle to make decent money of anything at present. I've had my NG up on Ebay for a month & haven't
even had a sniff
I know other people in similar situations, it seems you need to be prepared to accept daft money at the moment or stick with it until we get a
Government that's not crippling the country! 
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.

Good advice, thanks! Currently it has no MOT and needs a new water pump so I was going to get those things sorted then fire out some adverts. I'm
trying to manage my expectations about the likely price but I feel without an MOT it'll be seen only as a fixer-upper and attract rock bottom
money.
I'm wary of 'what's it worth' posts but I wondered if anyone on here might light to suggest a suitable price for the following
spec:
Ron Champion supplied chassis, fabricated by MK to Locost race series spec, so has metal floor and rear roll bar.
Ali sides, racing green bodywork, yellow nose.
1600 crossflow with DGV carb. I don't believe it has a trick cam or head work etc. Has Ford electronic ignition. Runs spot on.
4 speed Type E (the longer and stronger) gearbox.
Mk2 Escort axle and steering rack, Sierra column, Cortina uprights.
Smiths gauges.
About 3k miles.
Compomotive lattice 14" wheels in perfect condition with Pirelli tyres. Spare wheel and tyre included.
Windscreen and wipers fitted.
Cobra Roadster 7 seats and sabelt 4-point harnesses.
Dust cover.
SVA in 2004 and correctly registered with DVLA. Has a 1976 'P' registration based on the original donor vehicle.
Overall very nice condition and a classic looking Seven, particularly with the period registration plate.
