I started to adapt my book build to IRS using the Tiger book. After a bit of research I realised the design could be improved on, IMO. The wishbones converge in the Tiger plans for instance.
I've ended up with a totally own designed system which I think will work.
My advice would be to read a couple of good suspension design books, get the basic dimensions, and design something yourself.

This thread may well now self destruct into an IRS/De Dion/Live debate.

Mark,

I had an idea how my IRS was to look so got a copy of the book to confirm I was doing the right thing (vaguely)

I think it'll be fine, after all there's quite a few Avons on the road.

If you do buy a copy, have a roll of sellotape to hand as pages keep falling out!!!!!!!!!!!
