SVC Lights Wiring

Hi,

I have SVC front headlamps (5 3/4" with side) and crystalite rear lamp as most people seem to use. Does anyone know what wires are what for both the headlamps and the rear lamps (stop/tail and indicator).

Cheers, Adam

A quick look inside should soon show where each wire goes.

A call to us @ sVc is all it takes.

Headlights - there are 4 wires.
Black is earth
Red is the sidelight
Blue and white the Main Beam
Blue and red the dip beams.

The crystalights are supplied with sockets into the lights and plugs that you fit your wires into. The indicators only have 2 connections. As the light is fully insulated, it doesn't real matter which is the feed and which the return to earth (although purists will tell you the feed should be the contact at the base of the bulb and the earth the side of the bulb casing).
The stop and tail light has 3 contacts. You will see the central one is a "bronze" colour. This is the earth. The outer 2 are the feeds to the 5w tail light and the 21w brake light.

Hope this helps.
I'm here @ sVc till 11.30 this morning (Sat) before going to MIRA to see "7"s in competition!
Best regards
Steve @ sVc

Re crystalight tail or brake connection.
Not off hand - suggest you wire earth and using a power feed find out which is which.
Love the photos on your web site - can I use on in our photos section? (with a link of course)
Regards
Steve @ sVc
