Has anyone tried using a crossover suspension as found on the DAK?

I think it's inboard suspension you're after. Do DAX cars use it?

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

perhaps he means that dax set up where bump on one wheel added camber to the other, by moving out the upper wishbone mount?!

Could this be the DAX camber-compensation system?

I had a look at that at a show once, it was so stiff it's a wonder anything moved on the front of the car. It's patented anyway so you're not allowed to use it. The accuracy it has to be set up to is beyond us DIYers in the shed as well according to their bumf.

As far as I'm aware I am quite free to make use of the design in my own car - just as long as I don't try to profit from it commercialy.

I am pretty sure the patent wouldn't stand up to being challenged its just a minor variation on an old concept used by Fairthrope among others.
